CURRENT SINGLE: “Am I the Only One”
Aaron Lewis has a hard time shutting his brain off because he is always thinking, always planning, always analyzing. But one way he has found to get away from his thoughts for a few hours is by playing golf. “It’s such a killer way to kill four or five hours of a very monotonous, never-ending day on tour,” says Aaron. “It’s a way to get away from the venue for a minute and be in a beautiful, pristine setting for four or five hours.”
The thing for Aaron though, is that it’s not so much about the game of golf as it is about the environment. “I like really nice golf courses where every blade of grass is perfect,” Aaron says. “It’s not about the actual game or score of golf. It’s the setting, it’s the peacefulness, it’s the tranquility, it’s being focused enough on something that your mind really can’t wander anywhere else if you’re trying your best to be a part of the game.”
The golf course is one of the few places Aaron can find peace, because he says, “Peace for me is being able to shut it off, cause my brain never stops… Never.”
