CURRENT SINGLE: “Am I the Only One”
Aaron Lewis has had a successful career in music for over 25 years, first as the front man of the rock group Staind and now as a solo country singer, working on his fourth album. However, most people may not know that if music hadn’t worked out, Aaron had a second career all lined up and ready to go. “I was lucky enough to have an uncle that had no faith whatsoever in me doing anything in music,” explains Aaron. “And he got me to go to Atlanta and go to goldsmithing school. So, I am a jeweler.”
Although his skills might be a little rusty now, Aaron says, “I can start with a piece of wax and carve a custom piece of jewelry out of the wax, cast it into whatever – silver gold, whatever you want me to cast it into, set stones into it and hand it to you as a perfect brand new piece of jewelry.”
Even though he’s not using his jewelry making skills now, Aaron says, “That’s what I would’ve been doing if this hadn’t happened. But it was a great, great day to be able to go to my uncle, and with a little punch on the shoulder and a wink, be like, ‘Hmmm … wasn’t gonna happen huh?’.”
