Eli Young Band have been together for almost 20 years, and even after all that time they’ve managed to remain close and actually like each other. That’s not to say they don’t all have their moments or their days when they’re not in the best moods, but Mike Eli explains, “I think all of us are a little bit moody at times, but we just know when to walk away from each other – I guess when to turn it off, turn it on, tune you out, kind of thing.”
It also helps that the band, who is climbing the charts with their latest single, “Break It In,” aren’t generally the type to poke the bear when one of them is having an off day. Mike says, “I think after you’ve spent years together on the road, and half of that in a tiny 15-passenger van, you figure it all out pretty quick.”
Figuring it out is what has allowed them to remain genuine friends and keep the Eli Young Band rolling for 20 years and counting.
