Rascal Flatts’ latest single, “Back To Us,” is about a guy acknowledging that he has been checked out of his relationship and become a virtual stranger to his significant other, and he’s realized it’s time to get back to being the man she fell in love with. It’s a mature love song and Jay DeMarcus explains, “When we listen to songs we may love a song but we can’t sing about being single in a club anymore and watching a girl walk in the room. I mean, we’re all in different places in our lives, so we’re trying to sing about where we are as fathers and husbands and the life that we’ve lived and the lessons we’ve learned. So I think it would be disingenuous for us to sing about being 25 years old.”
“Back To Us” is the title track off Rascal Flatts’ latest album, which also features their #1 song, “Yours If You Want It.”
