(AUDIO) ‘BABE’ WAS A NO-BRAINER FOR SUGARLAND BECAUSE OF ITS EMPOWERING MESSAGE

When Sugarland first heard their latest single, “Babe,” which was written by Taylor Swift and Pat Monahan from Train, not only did they think it was a great song, but they felt it was authentic to their brand and the messages they try to incorporate into the songs they write for themselves.  Kristian Bush says, “It very much sits in the same kind of empowerment. Like, in the scene, how do you create a space that empowers the woman the most? And that’s very Sugarland. That makes sense why she sent it and said, ‘Hey guys, look, if you guys are getting back together, would you like this?”

The answer, of course, was a quick and easy yes.
