Florida Georgia Line’s latest song, “Blessings,” was a pretty big collaborative effort between Brian (BK), Tyler, Tom Douglas, Jesse Frasure, Jordan Schmidt and Ernest K. Smith. Because BK and Tyler write so many songs, not everything they write makes it onto one of their own albums, but when they were considering “Blessings” for their Can’t Say I Ain’t Country album, Tyler says, “I was like, man, it would really like complete the album. It would feel like it could fit and it’s a good heartfelt song, kind of fits that lane. It’s a good emotion, it’s something BK and I are daily tryin’ to do, count our blessings and be thankful.”
FGL always tries to share part of who they are in their music, and since counting their blessings is a priority for them, Tyler says, “Why not show that to the fans as well? And so we chatted about it and (BK) was kinda right on board.”
“Blessings” is the final track on Florida Georgia Line’s latest album, Can’t Say I Ain’t Country.
