CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”
One of the most frustrating parts of the pandemic is not having a definitive end in sight when life can start to get back to normal. That is especially true for artists who are trying to figure out when they can tour again, like Brantley Gilbert. “I’ll be completely honest with you. Lookin’ back at how it’s affected me in any way, form or fashion has not been healthy for me,” admits Brantley.
When he starts to think about the uncertainty of the future, Brantley says, “It kinda resets that frustration button every day. So, I’ve decided it’s one day at a time at this point.”
Being on the road and playing shows is the thing Brantley loves the most, and since he can’t do that, he’s been trying to focus on songwriting and making music. Fortunately Brantley has a small circle of writers he works with that he’s able to get together with in person to work on songs, because he says, “Finding a group of guys that’s comfortable getting together and writin’, doing face-to-face stuff, that’s helped a lot, cause the zoom write’s really just not for me. I’m more of a face-to-face kinda guy.”
So, if you’re struggling with pandemic fatigue, or the frustration of not knowing when some sort of normalcy is going to return, Brantley wants you to know you’re not alone. “I think it’s hit all of us. Of course we’re all affected in different ways.”
