(AUDIO) BRANTLEY GILBERT AND HIS FAMILY ARE MOVING TO A NEW HOUSE ON HIS DREAM PIECE OF PROPERTY

current single: “OVER WHEN WE’RE SOBER” feat. Ashley Cooke

Brantley Gilbert and his family currently live on a piece of property in Georgia that Brantley has owned for some time. He even built an enormous man cave of sorts on the property called The Dawg House, which is bigger than a barn, and houses his tour bus, his cars and motorcycles, plus it has a bar and sleeping quarters in it. But with the recent addition of his third child, Brantley reveals that he and his family will soon be moving to a new piece of property.

Brantley Gilbert – moving to new farm :44

“I looked for a farm for 15 years in my hometown, and it’s just always been a dream for as long as I can remember. I wanted a piece of land big enough to leave my kids. I made some choices early in my adult life that kind of put the life insurance policies out of reach (laughs). So, I wanted to have somethin’ I could leave them, but I also wanted to have, you know, somethin’ I could teach ‘em on. I never met many kids that grew up on a farm that didn’t understand work ethic and discipline. And even before I had kids, you know, I wanted a piece of land right here around the house that I could hunt on and keep up with and somewhere big enough that when I retired I wouldn’t run out of something to do, and I found that about four years ago. It’s an absolutely beautiful farm.”

While Brantley’s dream has been to own a large piece of farmland, his wife, Amber, has had a dream house that she’s been building in her mind and on paper for many years. They talked about building her dream house on the farmland in a few years, but Brantley says finding out Amber was pregnant with their third child, Abram, who was born on October 11, 2024, kind of accelerated those plans.

Brantley Gilbert – building new house :40

“My wife had had a house she kind of kept up with and changed through the years, that she had the idea of this house and a Pinterest that went with it. And we had had a five -year plan when we bought the farm. We were just gonna develop it, get the huntin’ right on it, get all the animal habitat squared away and get it operatin’, and then just sit on it for five years and then build. But when she got pregnant, I told her, ‘You know, it may seem really stressful, but I think it could be really fun also to be building a house and doin’ somethin’ together while you’re going through this pregnancy. You know, maybe we get outside our comfort zone and we just do it.’ And we did. So, the house is looking at being done around April or May and I’m excited to go make some new memories over there.”
