It’s no surprise that when Brantley Gilbert thinks about the 4th of July, he thinks about the men and women who are serving our country and allow us to celebrate our freedom. “We’ve been blessed enough to do a lot of work with the military through the years and the respect I’ve gained for those guys and girls is just one of the biggest blessings in my life,” says Brantley. I have a ton of respect for ‘em and for me, a big part of that day is just taking a moment to appreciate our history and appreciate the guys and girls that ‘all gave some, some gave all’ for this freedom we’ve been blessed with.”
Besides making a point to remember and express gratitude for those who defend our great nation, Brantley does shoot off some fireworks, however, he says, “We’ve had to ease off a little bit on the fireworks. A couple of years back we shot some, and we were shootin’ mortars, and you know my right hand man, Steve Tussman, took one to the gut. It like bounced off the ground and then hit him, but it still hit him.
So, we’ve had to be a little more careful with those things.”
Brantley just released his brand new single, “Hard Days,” which is the first of new music he’s been working on as the follow up to his Fire & Brimstone album.
Brantley Gilbert – 4th of July :44
“Fourth of July is an important day for me, obviously. We’ve been blessed enough to do a lot of work with the military through the years and the respect I’ve gained for those guys and girls is just one of the biggest blessings in my life. I have a ton of respect for ‘em and for me, a big part of that day is just taking a moment to appreciate our history and appreciate the guys and girls that ‘all gave some, some gave all’ for this freedom we’ve been blessed with. But yeah, we definitely shoot some fireworks. We’ve had to ease off a little bit on the fireworks. A couple of years back we shot some, and we were shootin’ mortars, and you know my right hand man, Steve Tussman, took one to the gut. It like bounced off the ground and then hit him, but it still hit him. So, we’ve had to be a little more careful with those things.”
