(AUDIO) BRANTLEY GILBERT DOESN’T STRAY TOO FAR FROM THE BUSINESS THAT BROUGHT HIM THIS FAR

CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”

A lot of artists have found ways to diversify their portfolios by starting other projects like clothing lines or liquor brands or getting involved in other business opportunities outside of the music business.  Brantley Gilbert believes diversifying is something every artist has to at least think about, but he says, “At the end of the day, I won’t say that I pursue anything like that too aggressively.”

Besides the fact that he doesn’t live a very extravagant lifestyle, and he feels like his music has blessed him and his family with a lot already, Brantley says, “I kinda bet on the horse that’s worked out for me,” meaning his music career.  He says, “I know my team, my guys, the organization that I’ve been a part of putting together and that I am a part of. I believe in us. It’s a horse that’s won a lot of races for me and I think I’ve got to keep most of my eggs in that basket.

So, while Brantley will never say never to considering other business opportunities, he’s not one that’s constantly out looking for ways to expand his business empire, because he’s happy with the business he has now.

Brantley Gilbert – other business opportunities  :26

Yeah, I think we all have to, you know as a businessmen. But at the end of the day I won’t say that I pursue anything like that too aggressively. There is a lot of different reasons for that. I kinda bet on the horse that’s worked out for me, and I know my team, my guys, the organization that I’ve been a part of putting together and that I am a part of. I believe in us. It’s a horse that’s won a lot of races for me and I think I’ve got to keep most of my eggs in that basket.
