Brantley Gilbert’s new single, “One Hell of an Amen,” is a very personal and very special song to Brantley, and while he hopes it gets lots of airplay on radio, he’s even more excited about the potential for song outside of being played on the radio. “I said it when we released it, it’s not even so much about what this song does on the charts, it’s what it does off,” says Brantley. “I hope it does better on the charts, because that means it’s gettin’ played more and more, people are hearin’ it.”
The song features the stories of two men, one who fought a valiant fight against Leukemia and another who fought for our country in Iraq. Sadly they both ultimately lost their battles, but Brantley says, “If you watch the video for this song you really, really start to understand that’s it not just some sad song about a guy who dies in the military and a guy that dies of cancer. When you listen to the song and see the video, you see people that actually meant a lot to me. This song’s personal and it does so many things. The feedback that we’ve got about the song is, not only can I relate to it, but it’s a different way to look at a terrible thing. It’s not about the fact that they died, it’s about what they were doin’. They were fightin’ a good fight and the bravery and the courage the strength these guys had.”
Brantley hopes fans will take the time to get to know more about the two men featured in the song and the video on his website, and if they’re able, will make a donation to charities that support our military and the fight against cancer.

Brantley Gilbert – Amen special :51
“That’s the best thing about this song. I said it when we released it, it’s not even so much about what this song does on the charts, it’s what it does off. I hope it does better on the charts that means it’s gettin’ played more and more, people are hearin’ it. But as far as the military goes, and this song goes, if you watch the video for this song you really, really start to understand that’s it not just some sad song about a guy who dies in the military and a guy that dies of cancer. When you listen to the song and see the video, you see people that actually meant a lot to me. This song’s personal and it does so many things. The feedback that we’ve got about the song is, not only can I relate to it, but it’s a different way to look at a terrible thing.
