Brantley Gilbert, whose song “Stone Cold Sober” is currently climbing the charts, married his best friend, Amber Cochran, on June 28th of this year. Four months into wedded bliss, Brantley says, “Finally havin’ somebody to actually share all of this with, and somebody that knows me very well, you know, that I can vent to, and that can vent to me. Because for a long time, when you’re by yourself…you got friends and you got people that mean a lot to you to share certain things with, but there’s nothin’ like havin’ somebody that loves every single bit of you and that you love the same way, to actually really share it with. Like, everything that’s mine is yours. Every bit of joy in my heart, every smile on my face is yours, and it’s just awesome to be able to share that with somebody.”
Brantley and Amber actually dated many years ago, split up, had relationships with other people, and then got back together, and he says there’s a reason his previous relationships probably didn’t work out. He says, “You know, she’s always had a very, very, very big piece of my heart, and I think that had a lot to do with why I never could give a lot of myself away, and with her she’s my best friend too.”
