CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”
Brantley Gilbert has two kids, Barrett, who will be three in November, and his daughter Braylen, who just turned one last month. He figured having a little girl would change his world, because he says, “With my little boy, I never saw any of those changes comin’, and man, I’m head over heels for him.”
However, Brantley admits that he’s put his wife Amber in charge of disciplining Braylen, because he says, “I have to put a lot of effort into being a little tough on my son. And some of you may not like the way that sounds,” but he laughs and says, “I’m telling you right now, my son has me in him and he needs some direction.”
And while Brantley is certain he’s going to be over-protective of his little girl as she grows up, and he’s dreading things like when she starts dating, he says, “I’m having to treat a lot of the down-the-road stuff like a bridge we’re gonna cross when we get there. I’ll drive myself nuts with it.” He jokes, “I figure I’ve got 14 or 15 good years left before prison.”
We have a feeling Braylen’s gonna know her daddy will be willing to kill anyone that ever tries to hurt her, and when it comes to boys, he is not going to tolerate any disrespect or breaking the rules he sets.
