CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”
Some artists have been cranking out songs during the pandemic, but Brantley Gilbert says his creativity hasn’t been quite as sparked as other people. “My life really inspires my ideas,” says Brantley. “(I) used to be better at like watching movies or watching shows and gettin’ one-liners and just things that kinda inspires you or motivated you to do this that and the other.”
But the longer Brantley has been writing and releasing songs, he realizes “The songs that have been most relative and that I feel like have been my best songs, are really those that come out in organic, meaningful conversations, right. So, there hadn’t been a whole lot of that face-to-face. I haven’t been able to get out with my boys as much as normal and get out on the bikes and ride around and go see things that tend to throw you a word or a verse here and there.”
Brantley says he has written some songs, but not nearly as much as he normally would have in the last year, and definitely not as many as some people who say their creativity went into overdrive during quarantine.
