(AUDIO) BRANTLEY GILBERT HINTS AT WHAT’S NEXT AND HOW IT MIGHT BE DIFFERENT

CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”

Brantley Gilbert released his Fire & Brimstone album in October 2019, and he released a deluxe version of the album, featuring his latest single, “Hard Days,” a year later, in October 2020.  So, naturally, fans are anxious for new music from the guy who says each one of his albums represents the latest chapter in his life.  While Brantley is working on new music, he’s still fleshing out what exactly his next project is going to look like.  “If you asked Scott Borchetta [President and CEO of Brantley’s record label] what my album creating process is like, he will tell you that I’m always writing the next however many records I have left in my career.” laughs Brantley. “And that’s the honest to God‘s truth.”

Since Brantley is always writing new songs, once he starts to figure out which songs are going to be the best ones to tell the story of the latest chapter in his life, he starts thinking about what to do with the extra songs. He says, “(Scott) has to fuss at me all the time, because we’ll be going through songs for an album, and I was like, ‘Man, I don’t know. I was really thinking that for next album.’  And he’s like, ‘Let’s make this one and then will make the next one.’”

Up to this point, Brantley has been one of the artists that still releases full albums, as opposed to EP’s or smaller collections of music, but giving a hint of what may be to come, he says, “I think we’re gonna release things a little bit differently, and I think we have figured out a way where I can still tell my story and still have it be a chapter of my  life.  We just may release a smaller amount of songs more frequently.”

Brantley’s okay with giving fans smaller batches of music at a time he says, “as long as it adds up to be a big project that tells the story, that’s just something that’s always been important to me.”
