CURRENT SINGLE: “Hard Days”
Brantley Gilbert’s latest single, “Hard Days,” is all about being even more grateful for the good times in life after making it through the hard days. The message is a very personal one for Brantley because of some of the hard days he had to overcome in his own life to get to the place he is now. As he looks ahead to Thanksgiving, he says, “Especially since Amber’s been back in my life and since we had our two youngins, of course, Thanksgiving just every year feels like there’s just a whole ‘nother level of things to be thankful for. And I definitely think lookin’ back, they weren’t the greatest times in the world, but a lot of those ‘Hard Days’ led to changes that allowed me to turn into the man I am today.”
Brantley overcame his addiction to alcohol and opioids and got away from living pretty hard and fast to become the much more settled family man he is today. And he acknowledges that as far as he come, he’s not perfect. Brantley says, “I’m as imperfect as a human can possibly be, but I am proud of where I’m at, at least in what my priorities are and what I’m trying to be – and that’s the best husband and the best dad I know how to be.”
If you asked Brantley’s wife Amber and their two kids, Barrett and Braelynn, they’d probably say he’s doing a pretty good job as a husband and a father.

“Thanksgiving, especially since Amber’s been back in my life and since we had our two youngins, of course, Thanksgiving just every year feels like there’s just a whole ‘nother level of things to be thankful for. And I definitely think lookin’ back, they weren’t the greatest times in the world, but a lot of those ‘Hard Days’ led to changes that allowed me to turn into the man I am today, which is still a long way from perfect. I’m as imperfect as a human can possibly be, but I am proud of where I’m at, at least in what my priorities are and what I’m trying to be – and that’s the best husband and the best dad I know how to be.”
