(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Is Looking Forward To Learning From Kenny Chesney

Brantley Gilbert will be joining Kenny Chesney’s The Big Revival Tour for some of his stadium dates beginning next month, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to learn from someone he considers a rock star in the country music world. Brantley says, “Having the opportunity to go learn from somebody like that, who’s perfected the art of entertaining tens of thousands of people, and he knows his show like the back of his hand. It’s a whole ‘nother level, another opportunity to learn, but especially for somebody who’s been as cool as they’ve been to me, it makes it that much more special.”

Brantley admits that it’s been a bit surreal communicating with Kenny before the tour. He shared a recent moment where he says, “One of my buddies was sittin’ with me the other day and Kenny actually texted me and he was like, ‘Dude, Kenny Chesney just text your cell phone.’ I was like, ‘I call him Kenny, man, we’re on a first name basis.’ You try to play it off, but he’s such a cool dude and so down to earth.”

One thing the “One Hell of an Amen” singer isn’t exactly looking forward to on the tour is Kenny’s extreme healthy living and working out. While Brantley likes to spend time in the gym, he’s not a big cardio guy, and he says, “I think he may whip my ass into shape too. I need to get back into the gym.”

The first date Brantley will play The Big Revival Tour will be May 9th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

“Between Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, these are guys that, man, I mean they were bigger than life, and they are, but in my eyes, comin’ out these guys were superstars, rockstars.
