(AUDIO) BRANTLEY GILBERT LIKES TO MIX IT UP ON TOUR FOR HIS FANS

Brantley Gilbert is out on the road with Tyler Farr and Luke Combs, and when it comes to choosing his opening acts, he says, “I like to focus on the singer songwriter aspect. I like having somebody out that I can write with too.”

Also, Brantley likes introducing his fans to different sounds and giving them a variety when they come to his shows.  He says, “We had, before them on our winter tours, we had Canaan Smith and Michael Ray out last time, which sonically they’re not very similar to us. But when I got to know these guys to me it’s about giving somebody that comes to the show, if it’s somebody that’s a diehard follower of ours and supporter of ours, it’s maybe not necessarily all about us and wants to hear some different stuff. It’s all about having a variety of music up there. And really, for me also, you know I don’t know how much fun it’d be to listen to a whole show of stuff that was just like mine. I kind of like seeing what’s going on, what’s new, what’s up and coming.”

Since Brantley writes every song he sings, including his new single, “The Ones That Like Me,” he never knows when he might find a new co-writer on the road.
