CURRENT SINGLE: “Heaven by Then” with Blake Shelton, featuring Vince Gill
Brantley Gilbert’s latest song, “Heaven by Then,” with Blake Shelton, featuring Vince Gill, is on his current album, So Help Me God, which is also the name of the last track on the album. There are other songs on the project that could have made a good album title, like “Miles and Memories” or “Son of the Dirty South,” but Brantley explains the significance behind So Help Me God, and some of his other album titles, like Fire & Brimstone, The Devil Don’t Sleep, and Halfway to Heaven.
Brantley Gilbert – faith based titles :26
“All of my albums up to this point, this one included, have been spiritual or faith-based titles. And there’s a reason for that. I feel like, you know, if I’m tellin’ people these are stories of my life and I’m the ‘what you see, is what you get’ guy, and I just decide to disregard my faith or not include it , I’m not only selling myself short but I’m selling everybody that plays that record short. Faith is a huge part of my life, and I always feel like God tends to bless us a little bit more when we share a little spotlight.”
