CURRENT SINGLE: “The Worst Country Song of All Time”
It’s no secret that Brantley Gilbert is covered in tattoos, especially on his arms, his chest and his back. He’s been getting tattoos for literally half of his life, so we wanted to know what Brantley’s first tattoo was, what one of his most recent ones is and what was his most painful tattoo to get. “This one on the very top of my back, right under my neck in the back, it’s the crown of thorns. It used to spell sacrifice. I got it when I was 18, so you can imagine.”
Brantley is 36 now, so the tattoo has faded a good deal over the last 18 years. As far as some of the latest tattoos he has added, pointing to either side of his stomach, Brantley says, “I got both of the kids names here. My goal is to have the top half (of my chest) done by the time I’m 40 so it could all age together.”
As tough as he is, Brantley still remembers the tattoo that hurt the most. He says, “The most painful, was I have two clocks on… well, a clock a boob, I guess you could say. And let’s just say he didn’t skip any spots. That was probably my hardest one.”
Brantley got the clocks tattooed on his chest within the last four years, and they must have been pretty painful because he had a lot of tattoo experiences to compare them to by then.
