Brantley Gilbert loves his dad and has a great relationship with him. In fact, he moved his dad up to his farm in Alabama, where he works and lives full time now. Brantley does admit his dad does some things that crack him up and perplex him, like cutting his own hair and cutting off all his bangs. Or he recently shared another story about his dad. He said, “This joker, I thought he was gonna kill me when I got my ears pierced and he called me one night and he said, ‘You ain’t gonna believe this.’ I said, ‘I think you’re right, but go ahead, shoot.’ He said, ‘I’m just gonna send you a picture.’ I said, ‘Alright.’ He sends me a picture and he got his ears pierced.”
Besides the fact that his dad got his ears pierced at all Brantley had to laugh, because unlike most country guys who get small hoops, his dad opted for diamond studs, more like what you would see on rappers. Brantley joked, “He’s not gonna break out mad beats of nothing.”
Brantley is in the top five and continuing to move toward the #1 spot with his latest single, “One Hell of an Amen.”
