CURRENT SINGLE: “Heaven by Then” with Blake Shelton, featuring Vince Gill
Brantley Gilbert is currently out doing some tour dates with the heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch, which might seem like a bit of an odd pairing, but you may recall, Brantley was part of the band’s re-recording of Kenny Wayne Shepard’s “Blue on Black,” with Shepard and Queen guitarist Brian May back in 2019. And since some of Brantley’s brand of country music tends to have a rock edge to it, he doesn’t think it’s going to be a case of two totally different audiences showing up to watch the shows.
Brantley Gilbert – touring with FFDP :38
“With Five Finger Death Punch, that has actually been something we’ve been back-and-forth about for years now. When we originally did ‘Blue on Black’ song with them, you know, we talked about doing some things. And it was one of those things where we always talked about touring together, but we always had tours planned for the next year. So, it kinda ended up workin’ out, and I don’t know that we will see a massive crossover. I know it would seem like it would be just drastically different demographics showing up, and be this massive melting pot, and I think there will be some of that, but I don’t know that it will be as overwhelming as we originally anticipated. I think there will be some overlap there. They’re a lot of fun to work with and we’re excited about it.”
