Brantley Gilbert is getting ready to kick off The Ones That Like Me Tour, named after his current single, on February 1st, and when it comes to the staging and set design of all his tours he trusts the people around him to flesh out the plans before he puts his touches on them. While some people prefer to be more hands on from inception to completion, Brantley says, “I have a lot of people around me that are amazing at what they do, that value my opinion and my ideas and of course that I’ll have the veto power and all that. But they know what I like to see, they know what I like… Howard Jones and a few other fellas, Howard’s responsible for the majority of the design and they do a hell of a job. Howard knows what I like to see and he delivers every time without question. They surprise me with production most of the time.”
Once the stage is designed and all put together, Brantley says, “That’s why we start rehearsals as soon as we do because if I see something I don’t like I can tell them and they’ll fix it by the time we’re out of there we’ll have a different idea.”
The Ones That Like Me Tour will kick off in Worcester, Massachusetts, with special guests Aaron Lewis and Josh Phillips.
