If you look at Brantley Gilbert or his wife Amber’s social media, you will see pictures of their kids, but what you won’t see are their faces.  The couple is very careful to only post pictures of the kids from behind or with their faces strategically obscured. Brantley has no judgement about any of his peers who choose to openly post their kids on social media, but he explains why he and Amber have chosen to conceal their kids’ identities.

“As far as our kids go, a big concern of mine is my kids having their own identity outside of who their dad is. You know what I mean? I want them to have a fair shot to pursue that, and for them to have the chance to be their own people. It was just something we were kind of undecided on, and to me it’s better safe than sorry. And if they get to the point where Barrett or Braylen says, ‘Heyt, can I be on a video’ or something like that, we’ll look at it. And, you know, we may decide next week that’s something we’re willing to do different. For right now though, I feel like this feels right. I guess it’s the closest thing to the right gut feelin’.”
