(AUDIO) BRANTLEY GILBERT WANTS TO DO MORE THAN PERFORM AT THE BIG MACHINE MUSIC CITY GRAND PRIX

STREAMING SINGLE: “Son of the Dirty South” (with Jelly Roll)

Brantley Gilbert will co-headline the Grand Ole Prix post-race concert at this weekend’s Big Machine Music City Grand Prix racing event in Nashville.  He’s no stranger to auto racing, even having a race named after him – The Brantley Gilbert Big Machine Brickyard 400 – back in 2017. But the one thing that seems to elude Brantley, no matter how hard he tries, is the chance to show off his great driving skills (in his opinion), in one of those race cars.

Brantley Gilbert – Grand Prix can’t drive :18

“My driving skills, hell, I’ve been telling them all week they need to let me drive one of these cars, and they won’t listen to me. My record label president’s not for it. I don’t think my manager is neither, and I know my business manager’s not. So, I don’t think I’m gonna get to drive. But yeah, I definitely get the need for speed. I love motorcycles, I love race cars, I love anything that goes fast.”

We think everyone in Brantley’s camp is happy to have him co-headline the Grand Ole Prix post-race concert on Sunday (8/7) with Carly Pearce, and supporting acts Callista Clark and Midland, and leave the driving to the pros.
