(AUDIO) Brantley Gilbert Would Consider More Acting, But Nothing Too Challengin

Brantley Gilbert had a small cameo on the last season on ABC’s Nashville and when he thinks about doing more acting in the future he laughs and says, “‘Did you see that episode of Nashville? I can do me OK, I don’t know how I’d be at playin’ somebody else.”

He’s not entirely opposed to acting. “If the right part came across the table and it was somethin’ that I could play and kinda do me in, I might give it a shot.” But he says, “My priorities right now are set on music, it’s where my heart’s at. If a roll came across that I really felt like might be fun to play, or might be somethin’ fun to try I’m open to try about anything. [But] I wouldn’t wanna do it and then have people confused about what my true passion was, or what my true priority was, and that’ll always be music.”

Brantley’s latest song, “Small Town Throwdown” has become his latest top ten single and it’s continuing to climb the charts.

Brantley Gilbert – interested in more acting :37
“Every time I get asked that question I answer it with a question, ‘Did you see that episode of Nashville?’ I can do me OK, I don’t know how I’d be at playin’ somebody else. My priorities right now are set on music, it’s where my heart’s at. But if it ever, you know, if a roll came across that I really felt like might be fun to play, or might be somethin’ fun to try. I mean, I’, open to try about anything. I wouldn’t wanna do it and then have people confused about what my true passion was, or what my true priority was, and that’ll always be music. But you know, if the right part came across the table and it was somethin’ that I could play and kinda do me in, I might give it a shot.”
