It’s been a big couple of months for Brantley Gilbert. He just released his highly anticipated new album, Fire & Brimstone, featuring his duet with Lindsay Ell, “What Happens in a Small Town,” and less than a month before that, on September 9th, he and his wife Amber welcomed their baby girl, Braylen Hendrix, into the world, which means the Gilbert’s are now a family of four, with their almost two-year-old son Barrett.
Brantley wasn’t sure how his little boy would feel about going from being an only child to having another baby in the house, but he says, “I tell ya, my two-year-old boy loves her. We were worried about him being jealous and all that, but he honestly just, he loves her to death and wants to hold her and is real gentle with her. It’s just been awesome to watch.”
Brantley will wrap up his Not Like Us Tour this coming weekend, and then he’s anxious to get to spend a little time at home with his family because he says, “I love being a dad. It’s my favorite thing in the world, and makes it’s hard to be out here on the road. Makes me a little homesick and ready to see ‘em now.”
