Brantley Gilbert considers his motorcycle riding buddies more like family, and while he knows some of them look a little tough, underneath the tattoos and the leather and the piercings, they’re all just a bunch of really great guys. “I told my fiancée (now his wife) like a bunch of my biker buddies were coming over,” says Brantley. “She was a little bit intimidated, then she gets to know ‘em and they’re the sweetest dudes in the world, unless you cross ‘em, then that’s bad news.”
Brantley says besides being nice guys, they’re also very generous and do a lot of great things for the community. For instance, he says, “We did a ride with the Wounded Warrior Project and we took several soldiers out. There was actually one of the troops handed me a Purple Heart. Come to find out this guy had not been out of his house in two years due to PTSD and he was just shut down, didn’t ever see his parents. He went to Target and to buy groceries, but that was about the extent of it. But (now) he’s been everywhere. We sent him to the CMA Awards. Life-long friend.”
Brantley just released his brand new single, “Stone Cold Sober,” off the Platinum Edition of his Just As I Am album.
