A lot of Brantley Gilbert’s fans are hardworking, blue-collar men and women who believe in putting in an honest day’s work, and he knows that many of them are struggling right now, facing unemployment and financial hardship, due to the pandemic. “You know, all of us at the end of the day wanna … if folks are anything like me, I want to be able to do my job. I want to feel like I’m earnin’ what I got. I think we all need, or could use, a little encouragement and a little healing, and you know, all that right now.”
Rather than issue a specific statement to his fans who are experiencing hard ship right now, Brantley says his latest song, “Hard Days,” is probably the best statement he could make. “As a songwriter I try to say most of what I say through my music, and I hope this song says everything it needs to.”
