One look at Brantley Gilbert and you know the “Bottoms Up” singer is a fan of tattoos. But Brantley never gets ink on his body just for the sake of getting ink. He says, “They’re memories and stories in themselves and it’s kind of like your body’s a canvas, you know, when you look in the mirror you remember all the things you’ve been through and the things that are important to you and the beliefs you have that are gonna take you through everything else that you hadn’t got through yet.”
Not surprisingly, Brantley’s parents were not big fans of his love of tattoos, but he says his dad has actually come around to the point that he is probably going to get his first tattoo this year. And chances are when he does, Brantley will be right there beside him getting another one of his own because he says, “I’ll definitely be havin’ some additions, but I can’t let the cat out of bag on that yet.”

Brantley Gilbert – tattoos :33
“Yah, I’m definitely a fan of tattoos. You know, they’re memories and stories in themselves and it’s kind of like your body’s a canvas, you know, when you look in the mirror you remember all the things you’ve been through and the things that are important to you and the beliefs you have that are gonna take you through everything else that you hadn’t got through yet. So, my mom and dad weren’t the biggest fans in the world, in the beginning of tattoos, but I think we got my dad to the dark side. I think he’s about to get his first one, this year. And I’ll definitely be havin’ some additions, but I can’t let the cat out of bag on that yet.”
