Brantley Gilbert will kick off The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour on February 2nd, and one of the songs he’s really looking forward to playing is his latest single, “The Weekend.” Brantley says, “It’s a good timin’ song, it’s a feel good song, it’s a breath of fresh air, and these people have been looking forward to these things for months, and we show up and ‘The Weekend’ is a song that kind of puts me in that mood, you know what I mean? And it puts me on that level that I can be right there with ‘em when we come out on stage, especially when we do that song.”
While Brantley is always excited to get on stage and perform, he says, “These shows, the majority of the shows, is all about just trading energy and feeding off each other, and that song definitely feeds the machine.”
“The Weekend” is the first release off Brantley’s highly anticipated new album, The Devil Don’t Sleep, which will be available on January 27th.
