Later this week Brantley Gilbert will be heading to Europe for the C2C – Country to Country Music Festival. This will be his second time performing in Europe, and he remembers the first time, “It was a familiar feelin’, but it was actually a good feelin’. It felt like I was rollin’ back into a college town in a state that I’d never been to. You know what I mean? It’s that unchartered ground, you never know what to expect. There may be five people there, there may be 500, but I tried just to look at it like I did when we were breakin’ in the markets here in the states. It’s uncharted territory, but I mean, if you wanna play there gotta try it out.”
While Europe is still pretty unchartered territory for Brantley, he’s looking forward to going back and seeing how much the audiences have grown. He also laughs and says, “Europe’s a different animal, especially for a guy like me. I got subtitles on a show I did in New York. Those people definitely … I need a translator over there.”
Brantley will be performing his hits, plus some songs off his latest album Just As I Am, including his latest single, “One Hell of an Amen.”
