Brett Young just wrapped up the Miss Me More Tour with Kelsea Ballerini, and he admits when he’s not on the road, his favorite thing to do is just hang out at the house with his wife Taylor. Brett says, “I’m kind of a boring homebody. I like to go out and see buddies and having nice glass of whiskey or whatever it is, but we’re on the road so much, and just being newly married, when I’m home I like to fire up Netflix or rent a movie or catch up on whatever we’ve got recorded.”
Now that Brett and Taylor are preparing to welcome a baby girl in the fall, we’re guessing early nights in will become even more popular in the Young household. Brett says when he’s home, “I’ve been going to bed earlier and earlier these days and I know that’s kind of boring, but I was on the move so much growing up, I played three sports my whole life and that transitioned right into music, which turned into a record deal and radio tour and now we’re on the road five days a week. And it’s like when I’m home I just like to be home. And so yeah, we curl up on the couch and find something that’s gonna keep our attention until it’s time to go to bed early.”
Brett will soon release the follow-up to his #1 song, “Here Tonight,” but he just released an acoustic version of the song, featuring one of his co-writers, Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, as part of his new “Acoustic Sessions” video series. Brett will release more videos of more acoustic versions of his songs in the coming months, and you can find the videos, as they become available, on Brett’s YouTube page.
Brett Young – how unplug and relax
“I’m kind of a boring homebody. I mean, sitting on my couch with Taylor and finding some sort of crime drama or something on TV, I’m right at home. I’ve been going to bed earlier and earlier these days and I know that’s kind of boring, but I was on the move so much growing up, I played three sports my whole life and that transitioned right into music, which turned into a record deal and radio tour and now we’re on the road five days a week.
