(AUDIO) BRETT YOUNG APPRECIATES WHEN FANS SHARE THEIR OWN STORIES

Brett Young writes his songs like “Like I Loved You” and “Mercy” from places of real emotion and personal experience.  Not surprisingly, a lot of Brett’s fans can relate to his songs, and often share their own stories with him, which can be overwhelming, but “Overwhelming in a good way,” says Brett.  “I think is the whole reason that you write and put a song like that out, at least for me, is hoping that people will have their own story that causes them to be able to connect to the song.  And so I enjoy when people come up and they want to share what it was that they went through that makes that song special or important for them.”

Brett loves when his songs like “Mercy” stir real emotions in his fans because he says, “I think as a music fan that’s what draws me to songs and so I think I kinda always hoped that that would be a song that would put people in that position.”

This Thursday Brett will join Thomas Rhett for the launch of the Life Changes Tour.
