(AUDIO) BRETT YOUNG CHANNELS HIS INNER MODEL FOR WILLIAM RAST AD CAMPAIGN

Brett Young has been getting to play dress up lately as a model for the William Rast fashion brand, which is co-owned by Justin Timberlake.  While 6’6” Brett has model good looks, he says, “I have no experience in the fashion world.”

We thought maybe Justin Timberlake, who spends quite a bit of time around Nashville, might have enlisted Brett to be the face of William Rast, but Brett says, “I haven’t met Justin yet. We were in New York to meet with the company that put William Rast together and connected Justin to that, and you know Justin’s obviously a partner.  And so when I was going in thinking we were going to maybe discuss a project of my own, they were looking for somebody to come in as the face of William Rast.”

Brett ended up getting the job, and he was grateful for a very patient photographer who shot the ad campaign because he says, “I didn’t know what I was doing. Luckily we had a phenomenal photographer, Boo George, who just would basically scream instructions at me until I got one of ‘em right and then he told me to sit still until he got the picture he needed.”

Besides promoting his new single, “Here Tonight,” this fall, Brett will serve as the brand ambassador for the William Rast fall collection, along with supermodel Stella Maxwell.  You’ll be able to see their ad campaigns in print and digital platforms and in select retail stores across the country.
