Brett Young just scored his second #1 song with “In Case You Didn’t Know,” and he just kicked off the Lady Antebellum You Look Good Tour, which means he’ll be spending a lot of time on the road.  For those nights when Brett finds himself in a hotel room, he’s found a few ways to make it feel more like home.  Brett says, “a friend of mine told me that when she travels she likes to bring like a candle. And so I never really thought about doing that. So I do, I bring a candle now.”

Brett also carries an Amazon Firestick with him when he travels so that he can have his Netflix in his hotel room.  And whether he’s on a bus or in a hotel, one thing that always makes Brett feel at home is his own pillow case.  He says, “It smells like my bed. There’s something about trying to make the hotel room feel as homey as possible that’s really helped.”

“I got good advice.  Because there’s so many hotel rooms, a friend of mine told me that when she travels she likes to bring like a candle. And so I never really thought about doing that. So I do, I bring a candle now, but also you have a few minutes in the room at night and it’s nice to be able to watch whatever you want, so I bring an Amazon Firestick and you’re able to sync it up to the Internet and so I have Netflix in my hotel rooms now.  So, a familiar smell and then the last thing is I bring my own pillow case. It smells like my bed. There’s something about trying to make the hotel room feel as homey as possible that’s really helped.”
