CURRENT SINGLE: “Lady”
When Brett Young is building his live shows, he’s always doing it as a fan of music and live shows, with the goal of creating an experience for the crowd. When he and his band aren’t working, Brett says, “We’re typically attending shows because we’re music fans, too. And so, you know, having the knowledge of what it’s like to be on stage and what it’s like to be in the audience, you know I think the best thing you can do when you’re being a music fan and going to a show is lose yourself in the 90 minutes or whatever it may be. Because it’s so easy to be distracted by somebody good looking across the room or needing another drink or having to run to the bathroom, but if you’re moved by music, those 90 minutes are really special when you’re in the room while it’s being played.”
So, Brett is always thinking about how to entertain and move his audiences. Before live shows were cancelled in 2020, one moment in Brett Young’s live shows that was getting a big response was when he sang his latest single, “Lady.” The song written about his wife for his baby girl was quickly becoming a touching moment and a fan favorite during Brett’s live shows.
