Brett Young and his wife Taylor recently celebrated their first official wedding anniversary, since admitting they actually tied the knot in a tiny chapel in Nashville two months before their big wedding ceremony. Brett is incredibly grateful to have Taylor to share his career with because he says, “Taylor’s great. She’s such a good sounding board because she’s a big fan, which helps to soften the blow. Or, actually, she softens the blow if she’s going to give a bad review she gives it lovingly.”
But Taylor definitely doesn’t just tell Brett what he wants to hear when it comes to his music. He says, “She’s also not afraid to be honest with me. She’s my biggest fan and I know that because she comes out on the road way more than I would if I were in her position. I tell her every night, I go, ‘Babe you’ve seen this show now 50 times. You can stay home if you want.’ ‘No, no I want to see it. I don’t want to miss it.’ She couldn’t be more supportive.”
Brett is currently climbing the charts with his latest song, “Catch,” but these days his mind is more focused on the arrival of his baby girl, which is imminent. This will be the first child for Brett and Taylor.
