(AUDIO) BRETT YOUNG HEADS TO EUROPE WITH A NEW FIANCEE AND AN ACM AWARD NOMINATION

2018 has already been an incredible year for Brett Young, and it’s only March!  He started the year with his song “Like I Loved You,” going #1.  Then last week he announced that he and his college sweetheart, Taylor, had reunited and are now engaged, and he received an ACM Award nomination in the New Male Vocalist category.  Brett says, “Yeah, it has been an incredible year.  It’s an amazing feeling to be back with Taylor and to both be in the same place and to share the week of announcing that with finding out that we have a ACM nomination is super overwhelming and I just feel very blessed and excited.”

Next up for Brett, he’s heading to Europe for the C2C Music Festival in London, Dublin and Glasgow.  He’s actually got a whirlwind of traveling ahead of him, but he’s hoping to have some time off to explore and be a tourist in some places.  “This trip is actually going to be piggy-backed onto an Australia trip and a Hawaii trip,” says Brett, “and so I don’t know how much downtime is gonna get to be spent in London or if that’s going to be on the Australia leg or what that’s going to be.”

Brett was in Europe last year as part of Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good Tour, and he says, “Fortunately on the last trip there were about three days off spread out in between, and so I had a blast. That was my first time over there kind of getting familiar with the lay of the land and hopefully there’s a couple more days off where we can do that as well, but it always depends on how they set up the show schedule and how busy you can keep yourself.”

Brett Young’s fourth single, “Mercy,” is just beginning its ascent up the charts.

Brett Young – C2C being a tourist in London

“There is going to be a little bit of free time. This trip is actually going to be piggy-backed onto an Australia trip and a Hawaii trip, and so I don’t know how much downtime is gonna get to be spent in London or if that’s going to be on the Australia leg or what that’s going to be. But fortunately on the last trip there were about three days off spread out in between, and so I had a blast.
