CURRENT SINGLE: “Lady”
Some people have taken up new hobbies during the pandemic, and Brett Young, as it turns out, had just discovered his new hobby right before the pandemic started. “I had just started before this all went down, but I dove in pretty deep to golf when this whole thing went down.”
Brett confesses that he didn’t just pick golf up as a casual side hobby. He lives near a golf course and he says, “It went from the most frustrating game that I had ever decided to maybe take on, to like my biggest obsession. So, if I get a free pass, even for an hour, I’m gonna go play three holes. So, I’m all the way in.”
But he admits that playing a lot doesn’t equal playing well. In fact, Brett says, “I’m terrible. I cannot hit wedges for the life of me. Putting’s getting better but a hundred and onto the green it’s like, I might hit it three feet. It’s the most inconsistent thing. So, we’re working on it, but man, I wish there was a magical club for inside a hundred yards to fix that issue.”
Until those magic clubs come along to perfect Brett’s golf game, chances are, you’ll find him on the golf course trying to figure out how to hit with a wedge because he says, “(Golf is) only a year and a half old in my life and it is 100% an obsession.”
