CURRENT SINGLE: “You Didn’t”
Brett Young has his own successful clothing line, Caliville Clothing, but he admits he is more of the inspiration and approval guy than the design guy. “At the beginning I’m in the conversation because it’s like, this is how I dress – for better or for worse. This is where the phrase Caliville even came from. This is my style, build off of this, and then I stay out of it until they have ideas and things that I can look at.”
The designers of Caliville Clothing get inspiration from Bett’s daily personal style, and create samples for him to look at, and he says, “Honestly, I don’t really tweak from that point. It’s thumbs up, thumbs down. I have veto power and I don’t have to do it very often. I mean it feels like they can basically go on my Instagram and be like, oh, he’s wearing this. That’s new. I haven’t seen that before. Let’s try to incorporate some version of that.”
Brett knows the designers of Caliville clothing are very talented and know him well enough to know the kind of styles of clothing he would or wouldn’t wear, so he says, “There’s very little tweaking to be done.”
