CURRENT SINGLE: “Gave It Back Broken”

Callista Clark will be all over CMA Fest this week in Nashville, with six different performances and plenty of opportunities to meet her fans.  Callista recalls meeting one of her favorite singers, Jennifer Nettles, and what am impact that made on her. “So, me “and Jennifer were both in a Georgia 4H performing arts group called Clovers & Company, obviously at different times,” says Callista.

She met Jennifer when her Clovers & Company group was performing for Jennifer, as a successful returning alumni.  There was a video shoot where we were performing and playing for her for a magazine,” recalls Callista, “and got to take pictures and meet her and everything and it was … insane! Super cool!  A great experience.”

Fast forward a couple years, and Callista says “(Jennifer) remembered me from that and invited me to perform with her for an international 4H gala in Washington DC. I was terrified out of my mind, but she was so nice and calmed me down and just has always been really supportive even since then.”

Since Callista knows what it’s like to be nervous to meet your favorite singer, she hopes people know they don’t have to be nervous meeting her, and she hopes she can leave a good impression on everyone she meets, the way Jennifer left a positive and lasting impression on her.
