(AUDIO) CALLISTA CLARK’S HEARTBREAK USUALLY ENDS IN A SONG

NOW STREAMING: “Wish You Wouldn’t” (featuring Jimmie Allen)

Callista Clark’s song, “Wish You Wouldn’t,” featuring Jimmie Allen, is about an ex who keeps lingering, not giving the person they broke up with a chance to move on.  Callista says when it comes to dealing with a heartbreak, she often goes through all the feels and then finds a way to write about it, or write her way through it.

Callista Clark – how get over heartbreak :22

“I think when I go through a break up, it’s a combination of the wallowing in it, the sad, the crying, the ‘Hey, let’s write a song about it. Let’s write a song that actually isn’t what I’m going through, and let’s pretend like I’m not sad about it.’ It’s just a mixture of everything, but honestly, songs always bring me back to that, whether it is allowing myself to be sad for a little bit or being super confident, and just kinda brushing it off.”

Callista’s song, “Wish You Wouldn’t,” featuring Jimmie Allen, is available on her recently released Real to Me: The Way I Feel Deluxe Edition album
