(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE DOESN’T TAKE ANY PART OF HER HIT SONG FOR GRANTED

Carly Pearce has a hit on her hands with her debut single, “Every Little Thing,” and she doesn’t take it for granted for even a second.  When the song first started climbing the charts, Carly told everyone, “‘If it gets in the top 25 and that’s all, that’s great.’”  And while it continues to climb and has made it into the top ten, Carly says, “If it quit today I’d be ok with that and feel so honored because it is so crazy to even have a song in the top 40, especially in the top 10 as a female with your debut single.  And I’ve seen so many of my friends struggle with radio and not have so much success the first time around. But I think that I have had so many years of behind the scenes work that I will so never take it for granted and would be so honored to have that milestone that I feel like so many people want and so many people dream of it.”

The fact that “Every Little Thing” is such a personal song for Carly and was written with two writers she considers her anchors in Nashville, Emily Shackelton and her producer, busbee,  makes its success that much more sweet for her.

Carly Pearce – having a hit song  1:00

“Everybody who works on my radio team would tell you it’s hilarious how much I watch these charts and I am blown away by as far as it’s got … you know I said, ‘If it gets in the top 25 and that’s all, that’s great.’ And I’ve said that from the beginning and if it quit today I’d be ok with that and feel so honored because it is so crazy to even have a song in the top 40, especially in the top 10 as a female with your debut single.  And I’ve seen so many of my friends struggle with radio and not have so much success the first time around. But I think that I have had so many years of behind the scenes work that I will so never take it for granted and would be so honored to have that milestone that I feel like so many people want and so many people dream of it. But to have it be something that’s so personal and something I wrote and something I would have bet everything on, that will be so special with two people that I feel like are my two anchors in this town, as far as creatively, Emily and busbee.”
