CURRENT SINGLE: “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” w/ Ashley McBryde
Creating her 29: Written in Stone album was a very cathartic and emotional experience for Carly Pearce who poured everything she had been feeling about her divorce and the death of her producer into the songs she wrote for the project. So much so, that once that album was finished, Carly did something she hadn’t done in a while – she stopped writing. A few months after the album was released, Carly said, “You know what’s funny, I have not written a song since I finished this album.”
Besides being emotionally drained, Carly says, “I think that I am such a situational writer, and this album took so much out of me emotionally, that I think I’m just stepping away and living a little bit. And I’m hopeful to see what I write next.”
Now that it’s been almost six month since the release of 29: Written in Stone, Carly has started thinking about her next project and getting together with people to write, and we can’t wait to hear what she comes up with next
