Before becoming a country singer with two number one songs to her name so far, Carly Pearce performed in a bluegrass band growing up, so when she thinks about the 4th of July, she says, “As a kid, I either was playing some sort of Bluegrass Festival – I did that a lot growing up.”
If she wasn’t playing at a festival, Carly spent 4th of July at her grandparents, laughing at her dad’s attempt to put on a fireworks show for the family. Carly laughs and says, “It was kind of an ongoing joke with our family that fireworks, when he would light them they would chase him. And no matter what he was shooting off, at least one to two fireworks would chase him every single year. And it was really funny.”
Fortunately, we think Carly’s dad had to run from the fireworks a few times, but he was never seriously injured in his attempts to entertain the family.
