(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE HOPES TO BE ONE OF THE FACES OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY

CURRENT SINGLE: “Next Girl”

Carly Pearce performed on the Grand Ole Opry this past weekend as part of their 95th birthday celebration, along with Rascal Flatts, Brett Young, Riley Green and many others.  She has such a huge love and passion for the Grand Ole Opry that there was no way she would have missed celebrating their birthday.  “I always associated playing the Grand Ole Opry with ‘making it,’ says Carly, “and when I played on my debut I was an Air B ‘n B cleaner, so I had not made it, but I felt like in that moment, that the Opry took a chance on me.  I didn’t have a song on the radio but they just believed in what I was doing.”

In fact, Carly has performed on the Grand Ole Opry over 75 times in the past five years, and she proudly says, “I know people play the Opry and stuff, but I don’t feel like there’s another artist in my generation that’s really put in the work the way that I have with the Opry.”

Becoming a member of The Grand Ole Opry is at the very top of Carly’s career bucket list, but regardless of when that happens she says, “I meant it the day that I stepped on that stage, like I want to be a face of the Opry.  I want to be one of those people, in the way that I feel like Carrie Underwood really took it on at the height of her caree and put into it what it deserves, and I want to carry on that legacy.”

Carly is hopeful the people at the Opry know how dedicated and passionate she is about the Grand Ole Opry.  She says, “I think performing 75 times in five years, hopefully they know that by now.”
