CURRENT SINGLE: “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” w/ Ashley McBryde
Carly Pearce was just crowned the CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year for the first time, and it’s the most amazing cap to an already incredible year for her. So, when she thinks about giving thanks this year at Thanksgiving, it’s hard for her to know where to start. “Oh gosh, I mean I think so many of my dreams have come true this past year in a way that I never thought could actually happen,” says Carly, “especially in one calendar year.”
In the past year, Carly celebrated a #1 song with Lee Brice for “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” that song earned Carly two ACM Awards for Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year, she became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, she released her triumphant collection, 29, which was widely praised by critics and earned her a CMA Album of the Year nomination, and of course, as of last week, Carly is the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
Even though it’s hard for her to wrap her head around everything that has happened, Carly says, “I think I’m just going into this holiday season feeling so happy and extra grateful just for where I’m at in my life.”
