CURRENT SINGLE: “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” w/ Ashley McBryde
In order to create her 29: Written in Stone album, Carly Pearce had to live through one of the hardest years of her life, in which she lost her close friend and only producer, busbee, to cancer, and she got married and divorced in the same year. At the time, Carly thought that year could have broken her, but in hindsight she says, “I think life experience and the twists and turns of your life really can shape you to be better. I know for me, this season in my life I didn’t understand why I was going through it at the time, but I chose to dive in and really go there.”
By immersing herself in the emotions of such a difficult year and being willing to really explore her heart and her mind during that time, Carly says, “I think ultimately it has made me a better artist and a better writer and a better woman.”
