(AUDIO) CARLY PEARCE PREFERS LONG TERM GOALS TO TEMPORARY RESOLUTIONS

2018 was a big year for Carly Pearce, and 2019 is poised to be even bigger, with her brand new song, “Closer to You,” already getting a lot of buzz.  When it comes to things Carly would love to accomplish in the New Year and beyond, they’re less resolutions and more long-term goals.  She says, “One being a Female Vocalist of the Year nomination, or a New Artist of the Year nomination, or a New Female Vocalist of the year, again, maybe a win at the ACMs or CMAs, and then Grand Ole Opry member. That’s genuinely probably the biggest honor I could ever have.”

Becoming a Grand Ole Opry member is something Carly has had on her bucket list since before she signed her record deal.  She performs there every chance she gets and has already graced the stage over 50 times, which no doubt has caught the attention of the people making the decisions about who the future members of the Opry will be.

“I mean I don’t know that either of these are short term but they are definitely where I think my head is … One being a Female Vocalist of the Year nomination, or a New Artist of the Year nomination, or a New Female Vocalist of the year, again, maybe a win at the ACMs or CMAs, and then Grand Ole Opry member. That’s genuinely probably the biggest honor I could ever have.”
